Recent job: How we repaired four Rational ovens in Soho
Last week our engineers did something impossible, they repaired four Rational ovens at the save time in the same restaurant in Soho, London. We have a list of the special challenges and cases we meet during the operation of our engineering company and such case topped up this list. Moreover, the manager stated that it was an emergency and we had to react as fast as we could.
The problem was not new, the house where the restaurant is located had some electricity works provided by council. As a result, the voltage spiked forcing all the appliances to restart. None of them went broken, however four out of five Rational ovens that the restaurant has started displaying an error.
What repair plan we had
It is now clear that the problem was just with the computer system of the Rational ovens but then we had to identify it making sure that nothing else is broken. In order to save time and reduce the pressure on the kitchen, as only one working oven was definitely not enough, we decided to start with two ovens but not with all four.
Rational oven repair we started with a general diagnostic, checked that all the main parts are well functioning one by one. When that was confirmed, we started dealing with the errors. As the errors were the same, we decided to concentrate only on one of those two ovens, so we could start the second one faster. It took us about 20 minutes and the oven was back to life! Then we reactivated the second one, did the final assessment before the usage and passed them into the chef’s hands for the kitchen purposes.
The other two were repaired the same day.
Conclusion
None of the appliances went completely broken only because all of the fuses in the kitchen were fully functioning. Yes, the appliances restarted and could not operate the same way, but nothing inside was burnt.
